Girl texting in the dark
waiting for a spark
nobody sits next to her,
adjacent seat’s for Teddy Bear
curled against the window
cursing her beauty.
I am a musician in the pacific northwest. I like to play with rhythms - on drums, random objects, with words, whatever I can wrap my mind around.

I love poems that are like good photography. Simple, direct, poignant 🙂 and this one is lovely.
Can I make one suggestion? you can take or leave it.
I think if the last line were “cursing her beauty” it would stay in the same tense as the beginning, and give the poem a little more mysteriousness. But it’s great the way it is too.
